As far as payment for assets goes, platforms offer crypto purchases via bank transfers, crypto transfers, or credit cards, depending on the platform. Buying crypto with cash in a person-to-person fashion is also possible. Availability for buying and selling crypto on any given platform, however, can vary from region to region.
Additionally, cryptocurrencies are frequently used to facilitate gray and black market transactions, so many countries view them with distrust or outright animosity.

But classifying crypto as an investment is complicated, too. When Bitcoin’s price exploded in late 2017, so did the interest of the general public in cryptocurrencies. Internet searches for Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies, and crypto prices skyrocketed. Many people weren’t able to resist the fear of missing out on the massive gains the early adopters were experiencing as crypto prices rose quickly. When the inevitable correction came and crypto prices fell, those who bought towards the end of the bull run immediately saw the value of their holdings halved. Despair and anguish followed, but the enthusiasm of the crypto community hasn’t faltered.
Also, several businesses now receive bitcoin as payment for goods and services – another reason why it is a wise investment. For instance, Visa transacts with BTC, and in February, Tesla announced that the company has invested $1.5 billion in BTC and will also be accepting it as means of payment for its cars. Additionally, the large banks are already incorporating BTC transactions in their offers too.
