Safemoon is a cryptocurrency token that was launched in March 2021. The BraveNewCoin aggregated index is chosen as the source of data for Bitcoin, Ethereum and Monero. The BraveNewCoin aggregated index is not used for Litecoin as their index for Litecoin only starts in April 2014 and misses earlier price action. Instead, Litecoin data is retrieved from the BTC-E time series. It should be noted BTC-E has recently (25th July 2017) been shut down by US authorities, however this is after the data interval examined. If you’re not willing to lose the money you put into crypto by purchasing on an exchange, then you shouldn’t put it in a crypto fund either. Time will tell whether this is the case, but right now, the Safemoon price is trading pretty close to where it was in April 2021, right before the massive price increase. Since the all-time high of $0.00001094 back in May, the Safemoon price live dropped over 87%. Furthermore, the trading volume is extremely low, with CoinGecko reporting that just over $3.5 million worth of Safemoon was traded in the last 24 hours.

Consolidation is a DeFi feature that the SafeMoon teams likens to reverse stock splits with the added idea that it will be beneficial for investors.
