Binance.US formed in 2019 after Binance stopped accepting U.S. investors. The interface and many features are the same, but there are differences such as the amount of cryptocurrencies available to trade in the U.S. vs. elsewhere, as well as which states Binance.US is allowed to operate in. United States users cannot buy crypto using the international Binance platform.

Despite its size and name recognition, Binance has had issues with regulators. In 2017, Binance left China and re-located to Japan and Taiwan before eventually moving to Malta. However, in February 2020, after Malta announced that Binance was not actually within its jurisdiction, the exchange quickly changed positions and declared that it doesn’t have a headquarters because Bitcoin doesn’t have a central headquarters.

Verdict: When it comes to the number of cryptocurrencies available for trading, Binance.US is relatively in line with other U.S. based crypto exchanges such as Coinbase, Kraken, and Gemini. However, it certainly cannot compete with its parent company, Binance.

Musk’s influence cannot be underestimated as, even though the likes of PayPal, Mastercard and Facebook have backed cryptos, the Tesla announcement still rocked the market.
With its bullish structure now invalidated, those looking for long positions will need to eye support levels at $2.44 and $2.2. Should the crypto market remain bearish (with BTC having a probability of revisiting $60-62K), these levels are likely to come into play.
