Having a capped currency means Bitcoin can be used as a store-of-value investment tool. Investing in a store of value currency can be compared to investing in gold. Although there is some transactional value in gold, it is mostly used as a store of value.
The little more than a decade old market for digital assets has already roughly quadrupled from its 2020 year-end value, as investors have gotten more comfortable with established tokens such as Bitcoin and networks like Ethereum and Solana continue to upgrade and attract new functionality. Excitement about the possibilities of decentralized finance and non-fungible tokens is growing, and memecoins like Dogecoin and Shiba Inu continue to attract attention.

SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador (AP) — El Salvador’s bitcoin-pushing president apparently changed his Twitter profile description to “dictator” Monday, in what might be an ironic comment on last week’s protests against him.
“Everybody’s definition of a headquarters of a company is different. When you ask how you define a headquarters --- is that an office where people sit? I worked from home for the last three and a half years. Our leadership team are not sitting in one office, we don’t have a clear place where we can go, by most people’s normal definitions of a headquarters that we can call a headquarters. So, when people ask me, I don’t want to give them a wrong answer just to satisfy their definition.”
Unlike other cryptocurrencies, SafeMoon claims it will reward people who buy its token and hold on to it rather than trade - for which there are penalties in place.
