Litecoin was released in October 2011 by ex-Google employee Charlie Lee. Launched with the intention of being a cheaper version of Bitcoin for everyday purposes, Litecoin was formed in a ‘hard fork’ (split) of the Bitcoin Core client, the free and open-source software that underpins the cryptocurrency. Litecoin offers faster transaction times than Bitcoin and a greater supply – there are a potential 84 million Litecoin that can exist compared to Bitcoin’s 21 million. No matter where you buy it, cryptocurrency is a highly volatile, speculative investment. Only invest in crypto what you’re prepared to lose, and make sure you have other financial priorities in place first: save money in an emergency fund, contribute to retirement savings, and pay off any high-interest debt balances.
Finally, users can fund their accounts from as little as $50, making the platform very accessible to beginners. Deposits can be made via credit/debit card, bank transfer, or various e-wallets. Notably, eToro even accepts PayPal and Klarna, making it super easy to fund your trading account!
Binance vs Binance.US - If you want to trade on Binance, the choice is relatively simple. If you are based in the United States, Binance.US is your only available option. Bitcoin’s coherence values appear noticeably less affected by bubble and non-bubble regimes, especially over short and medium terms (2–4, 4–8, 8–16 and 16–32). The non-bubble coherence values are similar to those of the other cryptocurrencies, but the bubble regime values do not reach a similar magnitude to the other cryptocurrencies.
Fig 3 shows an example wavelet coherence scalogram (the wavelet coherence scalogram for Bitcoin and Litecoin which will be analysed later). All following scalograms use the cross wavelet and wavelet coherence software provided by A. Grinsted [21].

You can do a number of things with cryptocurrencies, depending on which one you own. On the most basic level, the definition of a cryptocurrency asset is that it can be used to send value from one person to another or to pay for goods and services.
The blockchain technology backing cryptocurrency is inherently secure, thanks to the decentralized — and public — nature of distributed ledger technology and the encryption process every transaction undergoes.
These protocols also mask the identities of cryptocurrency users, making transactions and fund flows difficult to attribute to specific individuals or groups.
The price hike of Bitcoin, along with Ethereum, represents another wave of support for major cryptocurrencies as investors and crypto fans hope to usher the coin to a landmark $100,000 in value for 2022.

The long term positive coherence relationship observed between online metrics and price may be the result of another factor which we hypothesise could be technical progress. As a project makes technical progress, it is likely to have a community form around it over time, increasing online activity and also demand, and hence price, of the particular cryptocurrency. An interesting avenue of future work would be to consider the coherence between price and technical progress (via looking at each projects source code repository—these are available as cryptocurrency projects are generally open-source).
Since Binance doesn't allow for US Dollar deposits and trading, most of the volume on the exchange occurs against stablecoin pairs such as BTC/USDT, BTC/USDC, and BTC/BUSD (BUSD is Binance's native stablecoin). One other factor to note is that although Binance does have more volume than any other exchange, that volume is spread across a much larger pool of cryptocurrencies than other exchanges such as Coinbase and Kraken. Therefore, it's always important to look at the specific asset you're interested in trading in order to determine how liquid (or illiquid) it is.
When the hard fork arrived–and participants had to choose which path to take–the entire cryptocurrency market dropped. This is very likely what caused bitcoin to drop from the $6,000 range to around the $3,000-$4,000 range. Which brings us to today, with the cryptocurrency bottoming out at less than 80% of what it was a year ago.
