Nonfungible tokens, or NFTs, are yet another type of cryptocurrency, denoting that it is a one-of-a-kind asset and cannot be replaced. A Bitcoin, for example, is fungible, meaning you can exchange one for another and get precisely the identical thing. However, a one-of-a-kind trade card, on the other hand, cannot be duplicated. You’d get something altogether different if you swapped it for a different card.
Last year, a California man pleaded guilty to a mining fraud of at least US$722 million through the BitClub Network. In February, a New York man pleaded guilty to running a Ponzi-like hedge crypto fund that stole about $90 million from more than 100 investors.
Spot trading means you’re not technically “buying” the cryptocurrency, but instead trading your USD for it through either a market or a limit order. A market order means you agree to trade for the currency at the current market price. A limit order lets you put in a designated price at which you want the trade to occur, and when the currency reaches that price, the trade happens automatically. These orders then incur “maker” (for limit orders) or “taker” (for market orders) fees — though on Binance.US, there’s just a standard 0.1% fee.

At 6am on Tuesday 9 November, Ethereum reached $4,842.54 according to Coinbase, setting a new record for the popular cryptocurrency synonymous with the rising crypto trend of NFTs.
As with most cryptocurrencies, there have been mixed reviews so far with one reddit user saying: “I completely agree that once they get listed on an exchange this could easily blow up.”
Bitcoin and some other cryptocurrencies’ values have skyrocketed in recent years. Bitcoin’s price has more than doubled in 2021, and Ethereum has more than quadrupled in value this year.
As users choose the more robust and convenient option, the service will see a fall in traffic that will translate to fewer transactions. This will disincentivise BTT staking, which is likely to make its core function largely obsolete.
