After a year of gains and record highs, crypto currencies are enduring a turbulent time with unpredictable price changes.
Binance.US currently supports desktop and mobile-based web access upon initial launch, with the promise to provide app version down the road. No matter what type of client is served, the platform guarantees access to the Binance’s matching engine which supports up to 1,400,000 orders per second.
In the U.S., Binance has been the subject of an investigation by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, which is probing whether the platform allowed users to trade derivatives, Bloomberg reported in March, citing sources familiar with the matter. The CFTC investigation is directed at Binance, even though Americans must use Binance.US instead. And in May, the Department of Justice and Internal Revenue Service commenced money laundering investigations related to the company.
Recently, such platforms have come under increased scrutiny by lawmakers and regulators. Binance in particular is reportedly under review by regulators in the U.S., Britain, Germany, Japan, Hong Kong and elsewhere.

It also partners with Trust Wallet, a third-party hot wallet option. You can withdraw your coins from your account onto your own hot or cold storage option at any time (for a fee).
Whereas private keys confirm the authenticity of a cryptocurrency transaction, wallets lessen the risk of theft for units that aren’t being used.
