SafeMoon burst on to the cryptocurrency market place earlier this year – and now the digital coin is seeing further gains.
Binance and Coinbase listings remain a coveted goal for new cryptocurrencies such as SafeMoon. However, it can take some time to achieve this. For example, Coinbase only listed Shiba Inu Coin in mid-June.

All the signs, however, were there. Like previous bubbles, people were basing their belief in the cryptocurrency on their emotions, not any intrinsic value. Then there was the FOMO element, which only compounded things. Essentially, bitcoin became an international fever. Random companies were “pivoting to blockchain” for no apparent reason other than that it seemed like a way to create buzz. But when the bubble bursts, FOMO turns into fear of losing, which makes for an especially rapid plunge.
The funding was intended as the first step towards a future IPO, which Binance still claims is on the cards. Notably, Brooks lost out on the Coinbase IPO when he left to join the OCC. When he took on the OCC role in April 2020, he received $4.6 million for canceling his Coinbase options contract. Just a year later, the stock owned by Paul Grewal, his Coinbase replacement, was worth $300 million when Coinbase was listed.
