OK perhaps that’s a little far-fetched. But what is behind crypto’s crazy climb over the past 18 months, we hear you ask? We don’t mean to suggest that the pandemic hasn’t been involved, because we think it has, but not in the way that this chart criminal implies — not, in other words, because it’s some kind of safe haven that traders flock to when they are worried about Covid cases rising; the data don’t bear that idea out.
SafeMoon had a very promising launch and maxed out at an impressive market price of $0.00001375. The Fibonacci retracement indicator, measured from the Oct. 17 swing low at $3,640 to the Oct. 21 swing high at $4,375, suggests that Ethereum is sitting on stable support. The combination of the 50% Fibonacci retracement level with the 50 four-hour moving average at $3,922 is the most significant interest area underneath ETH.
Such volatility in crypto markets is nothing new. With no formal structure and countless competing exchanges, trading in the digital currency is still akin to settling out in the old American West. The same software responsible for Synthetify’s troubles was also blamed for a September Bitcoin crash.
