Bitcoin is the world’s most widely used cryptocurrency and is generally credited with bringing the movement into the mainstream.
This is the latest in a string of recent high-profile trading problems in crypto. Synthetify, a new decentralized exchange, was forced to shut down for a while earlier this month shortly after its debut because of bad data provided by the Pyth Network, a price feed backed by some of the world's most well-known trading and exchange firms. Over the course of a few months, China, Japan, and South Korea all announced different measures to better regulate crypto-trading. The world was watching to see if this new technology would hit the mainstream–and government crackdowns following gigantic hacks helped poison the public perception.
Bitcoin nears $70,000, while ether eyes $5,000 as the rally extends into a fourth day, aided by a weaker dollar and upbeat investor sentiment
CYNTHIA LUMMIS: My son-in-law has a shirt that says friends don't let friends sell bitcoin. And that is my investment strategy for bitcoin.

Despite the new record high, Bitcoin is still a highly volatile and speculative investment. In fact, the last time the crypto saw a record high in mid-April, it abruptly lost over half of its value and plunged to around $30,000 by mid-July.
Dogecoin (DOGE) turned down from $0.29 on Nov. 8, indicating selling on rallies. The price has dipped back to the 20-day EMA ($0.26), which is an important support to keep an eye on.
