Due to their political independence and essentially impenetrable data security, cryptocurrency users enjoy benefits not available to users of traditional fiat currencies, such as the U.S. dollar, and the financial systems that those currencies support.
The cryptocurrency market woke up to a shock in early trading on Thursday morning. On the Binance US cryptocurrency exchange, the value of Bitcoin (BTC) plummeted nearly 87 percent in value, settling around $8,200. The issue that caused the value spike was reportedly corrected swiftly and the Bitcoin value returned to its normal levels within a couple of minutes.

Several other regulators, including from Hong Kong, Germany, Japan, Italy, and Thailand, followed with various warnings, with the Netherlands the latest to do so this week. Hong Kong initially raised the alarm over crypto derivatives related to listed stocks which Binance stopped offering last month. Among the crypto coins likely to upset Safemoon is the Bitrise coin, which is the fastest growing crypto as of writing. The coin was launched at the end of July. Shiba Inu is another coin that has been doing very well since it was launched in August. However, experts have put Safemoon against Bitrise, which is now being taunted as the next 'Safemoon.'
