Gensler recently went so far as to say investors are “likely to get hurt” if stricter regulation is not introduced. Plus, the IRS has an obvious interest in making sure investors know how to report virtual currency when they file their taxes.
Other criticism of the founding team has come on the back of several promised developments of a Safemoon ‘ecosystem’ (including a bespoke wallet application) that have thus far fallen short of expectations.

Although exact active currency numbers fluctuate and individual currencies’ values are highly volatile, the overall market value of all active cryptocurrencies is generally trending upward. At any given time, hundreds of cryptocurrencies trade actively.
On the other hand, Binance.US only has U.S. customers. The size of its liquidity pool is limited to the number of U.S.-based traders. However, operating in one of the largest crypto markets in the world, Binance.US still has a large enough liquidity pool to satisfy the needs of any small-scale trader. In April 2021, the trading volume on Binance.US was more than $28 billion. Binance.US has a much smaller liquidity pool than Binance, but it is enough for all but the very largest traders.
Outside of Binance there has been a shift to using Coinbase or Gemini, but out of the two reviewed above, there is one clear leader.
The phenomenon has occurred more frequently in recent days, with Bitstamp also seeing freak order-book events.
One of the most appealing factors is that Safemoon rewards people who hold the token by distributing funds that the platform receives from the people who sell the token. In addition, Safemoon has recently released its own wallet on Google Play. Many investors believe this is a sign that the company are in the growth phase, with more announcements in due course.

— Meanwhile, Rover, the pet care site sometimes referred to along with its competitor Wag as the Uber of dog walking, has retained Mercury Public Affairs as its first outside lobbying firm. Mercury’s Mike McSherry, an alum of the RNC, Republican Governors’ Association and Labor Department, will lobby for Rover on tax and labor classification issues — a development that comes as the Biden administration has pledged to recognize workers dispatched by apps as employees rather than contractors. Gig companies are also facing new tax reporting requirements beginning next year, thanks to the coronavirus stimulus bill signed into law by President Joe Biden in March.

One investor who wasn’t deterred was Barstool Sports Inc. founder Dave Portnoy. In May, he announced to his 2.6 million followers on Twitter that he’d bought $40,000 worth, despite saying that SafeMoon could be a Ponzi scheme, a scam in which early investors’ returns are paid with funds coming from later buyers that collapses when new deposits dry up or too many people try to cash out.
Released in 2011, Litecoin (LTC) uses the same basic structure as Bitcoin. Key differences include a higher programmed supply limit (84 million units) and a shorter target blockchain creation time (2.5 minutes).
