Unlike traditional currencies, cryptocurrencies exist only as a shared digital record of ownership, stored on a blockchain. When a user wants to send cryptocurrency units to another user, they send it to that user’s digital wallet. The transaction isn’t considered final until it has been verified and added to the blockchain through a process called mining. This is also how new cryptocurrency tokens are usually created.
Once there are enough transactions in the block, more information is added such as the header data and hash from the previous block in the chain and a new hash for the current block.

Binance Holdings faces a U.S. Justice Department investigation into whether its platform has facilitated money laundering and tax evasion. Numerous countries have also announced probes and demanded that Binance curtail or amend operations within their borders.
SafeMoon stands from "Safely to the Moon", a phrase that was adopted by Redditors about DogeCoin which refers to the price flying upwards "as high as the Moon".

At the time of writing, Bitcoin’s value was fluctuating at around $67,921.67, or £50,107 according to Coinbase.
But while it’s based on sound, democratic principles, cryptocurrency remains a technological and practical work in progress. For the foreseeable future, nation-states’ near-monopoly on currency production and monetary policy appears secure.
Rising inflationary pressures are dragging stocks and bonds, which may prompt the Fed to hike interest rates earlier than expected, an expert said.
He added: "You’re simply reliant on someone further down the line being willing to pay more than you did to turn a profit, which is a risky bet indeed."
Even after falling back from its latest all-time high price, Bitcoin’s current price still represents a big upswing from the low $40,000 range seen in September.
