The cryptocurrency market is a vast and sometimes confusing place with different coins to choose from.
Despite the massive swing in value on the Binance US exchange, Bitcoin’s value on other exchanges remained stable. There has been speculation on the exact cause of the spike, though Binance offered a short statement to Bloomberg explaining that one of its institutional traders was responsible.
He was referring to the stringent regulation that forced most cryptocurrency exchanges to deploy separate trading platforms for U.S. customers only. Consequently, American crypto traders tend to operate on less liquid cryptocurrency exchanges.
While the success of any cryptocurrency initiative is not guaranteed, if it meets its objectives, early investors may be well rewarded in the long run. To be regarded as a long-term success, any cryptocurrency initiative must first achieve widespread adoption.
It’s true that the source codes and technical controls that support and secure cryptocurrencies are highly complex. However, laypeople are more than capable of understanding the basic concepts and becoming informed cryptocurrency users.
