Since the 2019 introduction of Binance.US, which Binance has referred to in the past as a U.S. partner, the international Binance has faced regulatory scrutiny — though that scrutiny has not extended to Binance.US. For example, Italian regulators announced on July 15 Binance was no longer authorized to operate in the country.
.
Immediately after the platform went live, Binance.US also launched its Referral Program with a range of rewards being available to the customers and their referees under certain requirements.
Responding to regulatory pressure, Binance has curbed some services on cryptocurrency bets, highly leveraged positions and trading with tokens linked to shares, and has pledged to beef up its compliance staffing.
I present a model of cryptocurrency price formation that endogenizes both the financial market for coins and the fee-based market for blockchain space. A cryptocurrency has two distinctive features: a price determined by the extent of its usage as money, and a blockchain structure that restricts settlement capacity. Limited settlement space creates competition between users of the currency, so speculative activity can crowd out monetary usage. This crowding-out undermines the ability of a cryptocurrency to act as a medium of payment, lowering its value. Higher speculative demand can reduce prices, contrary to standard economic models. Crowding-out also raises the riskiness of investing in cryptocurrency, explaining high observed price volatility. 05 November 2021 Refinancing cross-subsidies in the mortgage... Another property of Safemoon which has attracted wide criticism is the ownership pattern of the current supply of the token. A large proportion of Safemoon’s total liquidity is owned by members of the founding team. Although these funds are in a so-called lock-up, such concentration of ownership is often a cause for serious concern in the crypto space. In part, this concern is because of the influence that major holders—called whales—have over price movements when they sell.
On the products, Bitrise Audits and Techrate Audit, are programs that offer free audit programs for blockchains and smart contracts. So far, hundreds of developers have used these programs to audit their platform's integrity. Bitrise dApp wallet is the second product, and the team recently released Beta 2 version. Virtual currencies. Like fiat currency, virtual currencies such as Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Ether are intended as a medium of exchange that enables two parties to transact business. But there are important differences: No physical coins or bills. Virtual currencies exist only in computer code. Except for visual representation of Bitcoin and altcoins in advertising and displays, and coin-like tokens that may be produced for marketing purposes, there are no actual coins or bills. Not legal tender. Virtual currencies are not legal tender and are not issued or backed by a government. However, many virtual currencies, which are called convertible virtual currencies, can be redeemed for fiat currency on a number of exchanges. No regulation. Virtual currencies are not regulated by any government agency or authority. However, regulation is being considered, especially where virtual currencies function as securities when they’re used to raise capital and when traded on exchanges.
However, investing in a crypto ETF, like BITO, still carries the same risk as any crypto investment. It’s still a speculative and volatile investment. If you’re not willing to lose the money you put into crypto by purchasing on an exchange, then you shouldn’t put it in a crypto fund either. Carefully consider if you’re willing to take on the risk of having cryptocurrency in your portfolio at all.
