SafeMoon burst on to the cryptocurrency market place earlier this year – and now the digital coin is seeing further gains.
Even though many coins are on an uptrend, Bitrise is worth considering as thousands of Shiba Inu and Safemoon holders have joined since its release.
.
But what is SafeMoon and why has it garnered such an interest? And is it something you should look out for?
The wallet has been a subject of excitement, particularly among the SafeMoon community, for some time. Earlier this month, John Karony posted a video showcasing the product’s “safety, quality and accessibility.”
The university hopes the move will raise funding for large-scale conservation and restoration initiatives.
The good news is that the glare of public opinion will eventually dissipate, and that as the spotlight diminishes, real developers will find themselves in a healthier environment within which to do the work needed to unlock this technology’s potential. We saw a similar period of constructive building during the 2014-2016 hiatus.
We can speculate on what value cryptocurrency may have for investors in the coming months and years (and many will), but the reality is it’s still a new and speculative investment, without much history on which to base predictions. Yet some crypto watchers have raised red flags over SafeMoon’s unusual structure. It charges a 10% fee to buy tokens and another 10% to sell -- almost unheard of in the digital currency world. Half of these fees are paid to owners as an incentive to keep holding and the other half goes into a liquidity pool controlled by the developers. SafeMoon calls itself a DeFi token, or one that uses decentralized finance to govern functions through software, but it has a chief executive officer and chief operating officer. Critics also worry about the discretionary nature of the “manual” coin burns used to adjust its circulation.

Long-term holders, who have held their Bitcoin for more than 12 months, are reluctant to spend their coins, according to Glassnode’s “The Week On-Chain” report. Another positive is that investors continue to withdraw coins from centralized exchanges whose share of supply has dropped to a new record low at 12.9%.
