While still on the tokenomics, Safemoon does not offer investors better returns than competing companies like Bitrise. That's the reason why over the last few weeks, there has been a mass movement of Safemoon community members joining Bitrise. This includes Safemoon whales. One of the reasons for this movement is better ROI from Safemoon competing coins.
Unlike traditional payment processors, such as PayPal and credit cards, most cryptocurrencies have no built-in refund or chargeback functions, although some newer cryptocurrencies have rudimentary refund features.

I present a model of cryptocurrency price formation that endogenizes both the financial market for coins and the fee-based market for blockchain space. A cryptocurrency has two distinctive features: a price determined by the extent of its usage as money, and a blockchain structure that restricts settlement capacity. Limited settlement space creates competition between users of the currency, so speculative activity can crowd out monetary usage. This crowding-out undermines the ability of a cryptocurrency to act as a medium of payment, lowering its value. Higher speculative demand can reduce prices, contrary to standard economic models. Crowding-out also raises the riskiness of investing in cryptocurrency, explaining high observed price volatility. 05 November 2021 Refinancing cross-subsidies in the mortgage... Given the hype and ironic humor around its release, the currency attracted a cult following among cryptocurrency enthusiasts. Undaunted, West’s legal team filed suit, compelling the creators to sell their holdings and shut down Coinye’s website.

According to an article in yesterday’s New York Times (NYT), Brian Brooks departed the CEO position at Binance.US when a $100 million venture capital funding fell through. He’d been in the position for just over three months.
SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador (AP) — El Salvador’s bitcoin-pushing president apparently changed his Twitter profile description to “dictator” Monday, in what might be an ironic comment on last week’s protests against him.
Binance relocated from China to Japan and Taiwan, then eventually Malta. Eventually, founder Zhao—often referred to by insiders simply as CZ—declared that Binance had no headquarters, in the same sense that bitcoin has no headquarters.
Although mining periodically produces new cryptocurrency units, most cryptocurrencies are designed to have a finite supply — a key guarantor of value.
In June, the Chinese Government cracked down on considerable crypto mining operations taking place in the Sichuan province and demanded that Chinese banks and payment channels stop supporting decentralised and anonymous crypto transactions.
The overall market cap of cryptocurrencies hit $3.3 trillion on Monday, according to CoinGecko pricing.
Yes, there's a second meme cryptocurrency inspired by the meme dog. And a Wednesday flippening shows it's no joke.
Altcoins also sometimes differ in the method of verification used to authenticate transactions. While some altcoins use Proof-of-Work systems, others use Proof-of-Stake consensus, which replaces miners with validators. Proof-Of-Stake mining requires a lot less energy and fewer resources than Proof-Of-Work systems since Proof-Of-Work miners have to do much more ‘work’ to mine blocks.
Yet in some ways, the crypto crowd were not wrong. In the almost 18 months since Covid-19 was declared a pandemic, the price of bitcoin has risen by about 525 per cent, from just under $8,000 to a three-month high just above $50,000 on Monday. XRP has climbed by a similar amount to trade around the $1.25 mark.
It seems all too fitting that Facebook’s plans to launch a digital coin were leaked in the second-to-last week of a year that saw the tech giant’s reputation pummeled and cryptocurrencies crash and burn. It’s like grilling a shit sandwich over a dumpster fire.
