Despite having no top celebrity, actors, musicians, and entrepreneurs backing it, SafeMoon has still managed to gain the limelight. Its investors are mostly common folks spread across the world who want a better life for themselves and their families.
I present a model of cryptocurrency price formation that endogenizes both the financial market for coins and the fee-based market for blockchain space. A cryptocurrency has two distinctive features: a price determined by the extent of its usage as money, and a blockchain structure that restricts settlement capacity. Limited settlement space creates competition between users of the currency, so speculative activity can crowd out monetary usage. This crowding-out undermines the ability of a cryptocurrency to act as a medium of payment, lowering its value. Higher speculative demand can reduce prices, contrary to standard economic models. Crowding-out also raises the riskiness of investing in cryptocurrency, explaining high observed price volatility. 05 November 2021 Refinancing cross-subsidies in the mortgage... “Good thing Americans are forced on to these dogshit exchanges where they can get completely scammed on unreasonably thin books. This type of shit just shouldn’t be happening. It’s not fair that some get stopped out and some stay in, some get fills and some don’t.”BTC/USD 1-hour candle chart (Binance). Source: TradingView
Despite the massive swing in value on the Binance US exchange, Bitcoin’s value on other exchanges remained stable. There has been speculation on the exact cause of the spike, though Binance offered a short statement to Bloomberg explaining that one of its institutional traders was responsible.
NFTs "could be as big or bigger" than cryptocurrency trading on the platform, said Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong.
Since the 2019 introduction of Binance.US, which Binance has referred to in the past as a U.S. partner, the international Binance has faced regulatory scrutiny — though that scrutiny has not extended to Binance.US. Nonfungible tokens, or NFTs, are yet another type of cryptocurrency, denoting that it is a one-of-a-kind asset and cannot be replaced. A Bitcoin, for example, is fungible, meaning you can exchange one for another and get precisely the identical thing. However, a one-of-a-kind trade card, on the other hand, cannot be duplicated. You’d get something altogether different if you swapped it for a different card.
The hype surrounding popular memecoin Dogecoin had appeared to diminish recently as new altcoins took centre stage.
Bitcoin (BTC) crashed to just $8,100 on Oct. 21 — but only if you were trading on Binance’s dedicated United States exchange, Binance.US.
Gensler recently went so far as to say investors are “likely to get hurt” if stricter regulation is not introduced. Plus, the IRS has an obvious interest in making sure investors know how to report virtual currency when they file their taxes.
Both moving averages are sloping up and the relative strength index (RSI) is near the overbought territory, indicating that bulls are in control.

Even with its usual ups and downs, Bitcoin has mostly been on the rise following a drop under $30,000 in July.
The price of Bitcoin rapidly plunged about 87% on Binance's U.S. exchange Thursday morning, sinking to as low as $8,200 from around $65,000. The price did nothing like that on other venues, and on Binance the level almost immediately snapped back to where it had been.
