Then 5% goes to buying back and burning tokens to reduce circulation and increase demand for the token. The buyback and burning process is automated. With every transaction, 5% of the 12% fee goes to the Buyback smart contract, which automatically buys tokens from the liquidity pool and burns them. Therefore, Safemoon members would also want to invest in a coin whose supply is diminishing hence a consistent increase in the price of the coin.
SafeMoon had a very promising launch and maxed out at an impressive market price of $0.00001375. Many tokens and coins have price spikes soon after launch as this is the time when interest is at its peak for new potential investments. Investors were hoping that the market price would settle somewhere around this level and continue to rise at a more sustainable rate. Unfortunately, this was not the case, SafeMoon witnessed its market price continuously drop until it was priced around $0.000003458.

Although this may seem like a negative, it actually means that if the Safemoon cryptocurrency were to showcase extreme growth, then any investments right now would be in at the ground level. Digital token named after Elon Musk’s dog funds ‘full out marketing assault’ with fee on purchases Opinion & Analysis
Now, to be fair to the bitcoin bros (not great) and XRP army (worse), even the World Health Organisation had around that time started pushing the idea that Covid could be being spread by banknotes (while simultaneously recommending that people should not wear masks), now thought to be “very unlikely”. Even if banknotes were a key transmission vector, however, we are not sure that “dirty fiat” itself could be held responsible, given that the vast majority of it only exists in digital form. More importantly, we find that the ACP and ANET factors can price cryptocurrency returns. In particular, all of our five cryptocurrencies have positive and significant exposures to the fundamental factors. The explanatory power of ACP and ANET is over and above any effects related to the Bitcoin and momentum factors. This finding is non-trivial given that the five cryptocurrencies in our sample have consistently accounted for between 80% to 95% of the total cryptocurrency market capitalisation. Furthermore, we extend our factor analysis to an out-of-sample set of 33 cryptocurrencies obtained from the Bittrex exchange. We find that the aggregate computing power and network factors also price cryptocurrencies in this large out-of-sample data set.
