Although “smart contracts” represent an important move toward addressing the lack of chargebacks and refunds in cryptocurrencies, it remains to be seen whether they’re enough to solve the problem completely. Still, they’re at least partly responsible for Ethereum’s success.

If an investor believes in the technology-backed digital currency, then cryptocurrency should be his cup of tea. Just a decade-old asset class, it has yielded astronomical returns over the years. Some investors look to use these digitally coded tokens to hedge against inflation. Despite high volatility and speculations, there are multiple reasons that they can become mainstream in the coming future.
So the product rewards people who hold onto it instead of trading it. By doing this, it implements a 10 percent penalty tax fee.
Another institutional hit for bitcoin–which probably had the most sustained effect–was the SEC’s refusal to approve a bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF). This would be a path for more mainstream people in finance to dabble with blockchain; it would allow investors to dip their toes in bitcoin without owning the actual asset. Not only that, but it would make bitcoin available on the most prominent financial markets. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), however, has yet to allow such a fund to exist–mostly because it is unable to monitor crypto-transactions in order to avoid market manipulation.
Additionally, there are a few ways in which customers can reduce the amount of fees they pay. If customers choose to pay trading fees with Binance’s native token, BNB, the fees will be reduced by 25%. The second way in which fees can be reduced is by referring friends to Binance. If a user pays fees with BNB and refers a friend, the most they will end up paying in trading fees is 0.06% for each trade. That is one of the best deals in all of crypto.
