In the wake of both Coincheck’s hack–as well as a big one that hit the South Korean exchange Coinrail–governments in East Asia began to crack down. Over the course of a few months, China, Japan, and South Korea all announced different measures to better regulate crypto-trading. The world was watching to see if this new technology would hit the mainstream–and government crackdowns following gigantic hacks helped poison the public perception.
SafeMoon Protocol is a decentralized finance (DeFi) token. The protocol launched in March 2021 and has already more than 1 million users. SafeMoon stands for "Safely to the Moon", a phrase that was adopted by Redditors about DogeCoin which refers to the price going upwards "as high as the Moon". SafeMoon protocol is a combination of RFI tokenomics and an auto-liquidity generating protocol. According to the SafeMoon website, SafeMoon has three functions that take place during each trade: Reflection, LP Acquisition and Burn. SafeMoon plans to develop a non-fungible token NFT exchange, as well as charity projects and crypto educational apps.

Among the crypto coins likely to upset Safemoon is the Bitrise coin, which is the fastest growing crypto as of writing. The coin was launched at the end of July. Shiba Inu is another coin that has been doing very well since it was launched in August. However, experts have put Safemoon against Bitrise, which is now being taunted as the next 'Safemoon.'
More rich young investors are opting to go without a traditional financial adviser. Instead, they are betting they can get good-enough investment options from do-it-yourself digital platforms that are cheap and easy to use. Many also want to invest in riskier assets, like cryptocurrencies and tech startups.
