Litecoin was released in October 2011 by ex-Google employee Charlie Lee. Launched with the intention of being a cheaper version of Bitcoin for everyday purposes, Litecoin was formed in a ‘hard fork’ (split) of the Bitcoin Core client, the free and open-source software that underpins the cryptocurrency. Litecoin offers faster transaction times than Bitcoin and a greater supply – there are a potential 84 million Litecoin that can exist compared to Bitcoin’s 21 million. New Delhi: Major cryptocurrencies witnessed a fall on Thursday amid global inflation concerns, which made other currencies and gold attractive. Barring Solana, all other nine out of the top 10 cryptocurrencies were trading lower at 9.30 hours IST. Cardano, Dogecoin and Polkadot shed up to 5 per cent each.
Overall, it appears from these results that cryptocurrencies may experience short term intervals of co-movement, caused by sector wide news or cross market contagion, though correlation is likely to change dependent on the nature of the causal event and market environment. In the medium and longer term Bitcoin and Litecoin are strongly related; it is believed this is due to their similarity.

“Altcoin” refers to any blockchain-based cryptocurrency that isn’t Bitcoin. Safemoon members are now joining competing crypto coins, like Bitrise, in thousands, and this could continue if Safemoon team does not address the fundamental issues. However, Safemoon remains as one of the strong crypto coins, but the dominance might be short-lived.

When formed by real members instead of bots—we’ll get to that in a second—these communities are unofficial and unpaid public relations departments continually working in favour of the reputation of the projects they support.
Interpretation of visual scalograms is subjective so it is desirable to find a more quantifiable way to validate the strengthening of coherence in bubble regimes. Fig 6 shows the wavelet coherence over time for the different period bands, in the case of the “new authors” factor for Ethereum. Coherence values, plotted on the vertical axis, vary between zero and one. Time is plotted on the horizontal axis. The areas of the price time series that are recorded as bubble-like regimes using the GSADF test are shaded red.

In the wake of both Coincheck’s hack–as well as a big one that hit the South Korean exchange Coinrail–governments in East Asia began to crack down. Over the course of a few months, China, Japan, and South Korea all announced different measures to better regulate crypto-trading. The world was watching to see if this new technology would hit the mainstream–and government crackdowns following gigantic hacks helped poison the public perception.
Elon Musk’s announcement that Tesla would no longer be accepting Bitcoin as payment on environmental concerns was followed by China issuing a crypto crackdown.
