While Bitcoin futures follow the general trends of the actual crypto, experts say it may not track the price of Bitcoin directly. For now, investors must continue waiting for an ETF that holds Bitcoin directly.

Mr Karkhalev added: "The growth in the capitalisation of the Bitcoin crypto market has also aided confidence.
SafeMoon is also preparing to launch a cryptocurrency exchange, which apparently is not tied to V2.
"For any centralized service, we have to do [client verification] and hold customer data," Zhao said. "On top of that we have to hold customer assets. Unlike banks, when the assets get stolen it's difficult to get them back. There's a high responsibility on the centralized exchanges we need to carry out well."
A look at recent charts shows that Safemoon has been on a downtrend since early November. Safemoon has also not been doing very well since its last all-time high around April 21, 2021. Despite rising in mid-May, the next time Safemoon saw bullish growth was at the end of October.
Its founders have been holding ‘Ask Me Anything’ sessions to reassure potential investors of its legitimacy due to the unregulated nature of cryptocurrencies.
Its value has now plummeted by 99.99%, said cryptocurrency data website CoinMarketCap.
Bitcoin hit a high of more than $60,000 in April, and the ups and downs since then highlight the cryptocurrency’s volatility in a time when more and more people are interested in getting in on the action. In the weeks between the most recent July low point and its high points in recent weeks, Bitcoin has risen steadily. Again, Bitcoin is very volatile, so these ups and downs are par for the course.
