The sudden spike in selling pressure pushed the flagship cryptocurrency to a low of $62,050, easing nearly 5,000 points in market value. Although prices have bounced back above $63,000 in the last few hours, it remains to be seen whether BTC can hold above support.
Experts recommend keeping your cryptocurrency investments to under 5% of your portfolio. If you’ve done that, then don’t stress about the swings, because they’re going to keep happening, according to Bill Noble, Chief Technical Analyst at Token Metrics, a cryptocurrency analytics platform.

Bitcoin rose as much as 5.6% on Monday to $66,414, nearing its previous record of about $67,000. Ether advanced as much as 3% to a new high of $4,768.
CRYPTO UPDATE All of the largest cryptocurrencies were up during morning trading on Thursday, with Polkadot (DOTUSD) seeing the biggest move, climbing 5.83% to $48.18. Dogecoin (DOGEUSD) rose 5.73% to 26 cents, while Ethereum (ETHUSD) increased 3.
The demand for a cryptocurrency depends on many factors. Demand will be increased based on how useful it is to own the coins. This means if the crypto monetary system works well (i.e. fast transactions and low fees), if smart contracts become more commonplace, and if more businesses start to accept crypto, the demand for crypto will increase. Additionally, there is an increased demand for cryptocurrencies as a store of value investment.
