Safemoon crypto recently began to spike in price after the developers announced a new cryptocurrency wallet. The Safemoon digital currency wallet is coming soon and the project has been heavily advertising it. With this extra string in its bow, many are rushing to invest in the native Safemoon altcoin.
Leverage is the means of gaining exposure to large amounts of cryptocurrency without having to pay the full value of your trade upfront. Instead, you put down a small deposit, known as margin. When you close a leveraged position, your profit or loss is based on the full size of the trade.
Bitcoin and Ethereum are in retreat following a flash crash. Binance U.S. was hit with a bug Thursday, resulting in a flash crash that saw Bitcoin’s price plummet by around 90%. Ethereum also dipped 50% on the exchange.
He would be replacing Valery Vavilov, who will stay on as Bitfury’s “chief vision officer.”
The longer term relationship varies over time. After exhibiting strong positive correlation in 2013 (where prices rose), and 2014 (where prices fell for a sustained interval), the longer term relationship between Bitcoin and Litecoin starts to break down around the middle of 2015. It can be seen in the accompanying price plot that at this point the Bitcoin price starts to gradually recover, whereas the Litecoin price does not.
Bitcoin (BTC) plummeted 2.18% to $66k at the time of writing. Bitcoin’s dominance is currently 43.35%, a decrease of 0.34% over the day.
From a technical perspective, Bitcoin’s price action appears to be contained within an ascending parallel channel that developed since Oct. 4. Every time BTC has risen to this technical formation’s upper boundary since then, it has been rejected and retraced to the pattern’s lower edge. From this point, it tends to rebound, which is consistent with the characteristics of a parallel channel.
In 2016, this became apparent with the DAO hack. One way to fix the problem was to implement what’s known as a “hard fork,” which would essentially update the Ethereum-based software to fix the technical gaffe that caused the hack to begin with. But DAO users had to agree to this change, and there were dissenters. Though the hard fork was approved, it created two active blockchains with two different sets of rules. Ultimately, this hack–coupled with the inability to deal with it–caused the DAO to end in 2016.
Combining the BSADF with the GSADF test allows the r2 value to vary while still using a backward expanding window. r2 starts at the smallest possible window size, and moves one point at a time towards the end of the time series.
The scope of the Binance.US error, however, was in a league of its own and did not go unnoticed by market participants.
